HONEY SESAME CHICKEN

Sauce:

⅓ cup alternative honey @choczero (use code LIFTINGISCAKE)

2 tablespoons light soy sauce

1½ tablespoons sesame oil

½ tablespoon white granulated sweetener

½ tablespoon brown sweetener

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

½ tablespoon cornstarch or ¼ xanthan gum

½ tablespoon garlic minced

1/2 tablespoon shaoxing Cooking Wine

½ tablespoon white vinegar or rice

½ cup water

This week we are cutting carbs to remind the body to use our fat stored for fuel or if you work out and lift weights the carbs are great for strength and repairing muscles.

I am already down 5.4lbs from liquid fasting I am still up 2.8 up from Christmas celebration. Not to shabby I will bring the new year at my goal weight of being under 180.

Let me know if you try this! Pairs great with cauliflower or Konjac rice.

CHEESECAKE BROWNIES they have been in my mind!

1 Brownie mix no sugar added @pillsburybaking @pillsbury

Followed directions except

Added

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon instant coffee

Half butter half oil

Cream cheese filling:

4 ounces cream cheese

1/4 cup sweetener

1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract

1.5 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon coconut flour carb quick or keto wheat flour

Baked at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes

So good! I am going to top it off with a strawberry preserve! Check out my cook book for the recipe!

Let me know if you make it. I also have a brownie recipe from scratch in a few post back that is more keto friendly. For me this is macro friendly and during the holidays I have been focused on calories versus carbs.

CHOCOLATE WALNUT BISCOTTI

This was one is a must make!! It’s so good!! And think flavors combos! You can even separate the dough into different flavors before adding the toppings!

RECIPE:

1 yellow cake no sugar added @pillsburybaking @pillsbury

3 eggs

1 cup keto wheat flour or all purpose flour

1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup melted butter

1 cup milk chocolate chips @choczero (use code LIFTINGISCAKE)

1/3 cup chopped walnuts

Bake at 350° for about 30 to 35 minutes. Keep an eye you wanted to cook through. Do you want to be a nice golden even brown all around. Pull out of the oven allow it to cook for about 15 to 20 minutes. Then slice the logs into 1/2” slices if you want a crispier texture. Be gentle when cutting. Place back in the oven at 325° re-bake 12 minutes flipping half way mark.

to elevate it for New Year’s drizzle some white chocolate with beautiful gold sprinkles I didn’t get a chance to find any so I didn’t get to do that but there’s still time because I still have not eaten all of these. Lol let me know if you make them tag me.
